A few months ago Sybase decided to add me to the TeamSybase roster. Maybe I will tell that story someday, but for now I am a member of this elite establishment.

TeamSybase works by getting dedicated individuals to answer questions on the Sybase sponsored newsgroups. In return for this effort they are given, an expenses paid trip to Techwave, another expenses paid trip to the TeamSybase meeting, software licenses and schwaaag.

So this week I am attending Sybase Techwave.

So far it was a very exciting registration process and then the Welcome Reception. Registration was painless and the reception was fun because I was able to reconnect with people I have not seen in awhile. I attended TechWave as a Sybase employee for 8 years, this is very different than what I am doing this week. Back then I had to work. Tonight I met with some of the PowerDesigner management, but they all had to leave and do a sound and presentation check for tomorrows keynote. This week I have selected my schedule based on what education I am interested in. In the past I had a work schedule that limited what presentations I could attend. This time I am interested in connecting with people and companies that might want my services. We shall see how well attended the PowerDesigner track is, but I do know that there are some interesting presentations.

I will keep you posted and might even get out the camera and try to show you what this event is like
